Least Favorite of the Month: Third Grave Ahead by Darynda Jones (not a bad book- I just found it the least interesting of all the three star books I read).

It sounds like you've had a pretty meh month, Litha. 5 3-3.5 stars books? At least they aren't worse though! There's nothing wrong with light and fluffy books! After a month of reading long and arduous historical fiction and high fantasy books, I love diving into a month of contemporary romance. Read whatever floats your boat :) I hope you have a lovely rest of February!

I'm still struggling in terms of getting hooked on books (which is usually no problem for me) so I'm thinking I may attempt some rereads of series books. I hope your last two days of February are excellent- sorry I couldn't comment back before now!

Aww... Leia; adorable! I love the purple, too. I just bought Kindred, butI think I already told you. I hope your university visit was a good one. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! We just had an unquiet night with her due to underestimating her "getting into forbidden things" abilities. My university visit was good but I'm a bit nervous about the CT Myelogram I'll be having in March. O_O

It sounds like Leia is keeping you busy. :-) There's nothing like a new puppy to brighten a day. I am glad you have her. I hope you are enjoying your reading. Light and fun sounds about all I can manage right now too--although I am trying to read The Handmaid's Tale at the moment. It's slow going so far.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good week!
Yes, she is. My reading hasn't progressed much of late- once I finished Zora Neale Hurston's biography, I've been flitting from book to book reading only the first few chapters. I think I'll attempt a reread soon myself in hopes of getting out of this rut.

Aww, cute dog! Love the name Leia. And it looks like you had a pretty good month! I liked your vintage SF post too- I just recently read a few CJ Cherryh books and enjoyed them.
ReplyDeleteHope your february turns out to be a good reading month. :)
Yes, that was the only viable name my mom came up with when we were at the shelter and learned her shelter name was "Princess". I think January went better for me than February, but now that my internet is working reliably I can get back into blogging again. I'm glad you like CJ Cherryh too!
